2. UCLA- The Bruins lose four members of their final four time but they are still one of the most experienced teams in the country. Add the country's top recruiting class, and they could be headed back to the FInal Four.
3. Notre Dame- The Irish only lose one starter and return player of the year contender Luke Harengody. Mix this in with solid role players and the Irish can surprise some people.
4. Connecticut- Hasheem Thabeet decided he wanted a National championship before going to the NBA. Jeff Adrien and Jerome Dyson also return and its Final Four or bust for the Huskies.
5. Pittsburgh- It's too bad Mike Cook is not back but it shouldn't stop the Panthers from making some noise. Pitt got on a role late last season and that will carry over into the beginning of 2008.
6. Louisville- If Edgar Sosa can return to his freshman form, Louisville will be back in Final Four talks around the country. The key part of that statement is "if". Last year he struggled and Rick Pitino can not have that if the Cardinals are looking to make a run.
7. Gonzaga- The Bulldogs only lose Senior leader David Pendergraft while returning the next seven in line on their depth chart. If Gonzaga gets by their non-conference schedule pretty much intact, they should be dancing well into March
8. Duke- Last year's scare to Belmont scared many fans but Duke brings one of their best teams in recent memory into the 2008 season. Greg Paulus will have to step up for the Blue Devils to break into the Final Four.
9. Texas- D.J Augustin is gone, but the Longhorns return many other pieces from an elite eight team. The Big 12 will have a down year and Texas should thrive even while playing with a weaker squad.
10. Marquette- Dominic James and Jerel Mcneal might make up the best backcourt in the entire country and if the Golden Eagles can hold their own up front, they will compete late into March.
